Thailand museums need status, hours, fees, accessibility, exhibits, and source confidence.
Thailand museum data is richer for visitors than most public-place data, but it is split across cultural, tourism, heritage, and POI systems. Use SAC as the broad nationwide museum spine, M-Culture as the official Ministry of Culture listed-museum registry, Fine Arts for national museums and visitor stats, Museum Thailand for visitor-facing hours/fees/accessibility/events, TAT and DASTA for tourism routes and events, DMR/WisdomKing/provincial catalogs for specialist networks, OSM for coordinates and polygons, and Wikidata/Commons for IDs, aliases, and images.

Matching rules
Museums, galleries, archives, historic houses, temple museums, and learning centers overlap, but they should not be flattened into one generic attraction record.
Rule
Meaning
1
SAC museum URL, Museum Thailand slug, TAT place ID, OSM ID, Wikidata QID, or Google place ID is an exact source-identity match.
2
Thai name plus province plus district is a strong candidate match.
3
Thai name plus coordinates within 250 meters is a strong geospatial match.
4
English name plus the same address is medium to strong, but romanization alone is weak.
5
Same operator plus same address plus same subject is a medium match.
6
Do not merge a museum, gallery, learning center, archive, historic house, temple museum, and tourist attraction unless source evidence agrees.
7
Open/renovated/in-progress/closed status must be versioned because a museum can exist but not be visitable.
