Wat Tantayapirom

Wat Tantayapirom is a royal temple in Trang city, recognised for its five-tier bell-shaped pagoda and its place in a southern port province with long Buddhist and maritime connections.

A city temple with royal history

Tourism material identifies Wat Tantayapirom as a significant Trang temple built during the reign of King Rama V. Its royal status places it within the city's civic and religious history rather than as an isolated roadside shrine.

The five-tier pagoda

The pagoda is the temple's clearest architectural marker and is described as unusual in Thailand. Trang's provincial history also records the region's role as a southern port connected with Nakhon Si Thammarat, India and Lanka. Visit respectfully and check current local arrangements before relying on ceremony or opening details.
