Wat Pha Tak Suea

Wat Pha Tak Suea is a hilltop temple in Nong Khai's Sangkhom district, set above the Mekong near the Thai-Lao border. The forested ridge makes the landscape part of the visit.

A temple above the Mekong

TAT's Nong Khai guide places the temple on Khao Phu Phan Noi at about 550 metres above sea level. From the ridge, the view looks across the Mekong toward Laos, making this a landscape and border-culture stop as well as a religious site.

The glass skywalk

The temple is known for a glass-floored viewing platform above the ridge. Keep the viewpoint separate from the temple's religious role: follow local instructions, leave room for worship and check weather or access notices before making the long rural journey.
