Sanctuary of Truth

The Sanctuary of Truth is a carved wooden museum beside the sea in north Pattaya. Despite its name and sacred imagery, it is not an old temple: it is an evolving architectural and philosophical project.

A building made through carving

The museum says its structure uses traditional wooden joints rather than metal nails as the primary construction method. Carvers continue to work on the building, so the workshop and the signs of ongoing craft are part of the visit rather than defects in a finished monument.

Several traditions in one design

The four wings use carved figures and ideas drawn from Thai, Khmer, Chinese and Indian artistic traditions. The museum presents these as a philosophical exploration of human life, family, nature and the universe, not as the doctrine of one religion.
