The shop and its setting
Central Pattana says it was set up on 17 June 1980. It says Central Ladprao was launched in 1982 as Thailand's first fully integrated shopping center. This points to a shift from a single store to a large site with many uses.
Large mall sites can shape the area around them. They can tie retail to roads, rail, offices, hotels, homes, and other parts of city life. That local effect is more stable than a tenant list.
Central Pattana gives 1982 for the launch of Central Ladprao. Central Group milestone material has used 1983 for the opening of Central Plaza Ladprao as a mixed-use site.
Goods, service, and local life
Those dates may mark two different steps, but the pages checked here do not prove that. Do not pick one without a note. A deeper history should check first project records.
For a mall, keep the developer, site, first opening or launch, design idea, later rebuilds, and place in the district. Tenants, events, deals, and hours should stay live.
